  • 1 1/2 pound Stew Beef (lean)

  • 3 tablespoons wine Vinegar
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 clove Garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 3 large Carrots, cut up
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3 large Potatoes, cut up


  1. Put all ingredients (except for the carrots and potatoes) into 2-quart covered pan.
  2. Cover and simmer over low heat for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
  3. Add the vegetables and continue simmering until meat is tender. (This stew will have a thin liquid.)
