Mexican Chili-Cheese Puffs

Recipe: Mexican Chili-Cheese Puffs


  • Oil, for frying

  • 6 to 8 Flour tortillas
  • 3 tablespoons green chiles, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons black olives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon onion, chopped
  • 1 cup jack cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream


  1. Heat 1″ oil in a frying pan.
  2. Warm tortillas, a few at a time in the microwave to soften.
  3. On each tortilla, place 1/2 teaspoon olives, 1/2 teaspoon chiles, 1/2 teaspoon onion, and 2 tablespoons cheese.
  4. Fold edges into center, to form a square.
  5. Fry in hot oil, seam side down, turning once.
  6. Drain on paper towels, serve with salsa and sour cream.
