Summary: A Tortilla Layered Ground Beef Torte Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (15 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (14 ounce) can corn
  • 6 to 8 flour tortillas
  • 1 pound cheddar cheese, grated
  • Garnish: sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 850 degrees.
  2. Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  3. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chiles; seasoning mix and corn; simmer 10 minutes.
  4. In a 9″ x 13″ baking dish, layer tortillas, meat mixture and cheese, lasagne style.
  5. Bake 20 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly.
  6. Top with sour cream.
