Recipe: Chili-Burger Supper

Summary: A Fast, Easy and Inexpensive Casserole Dish


  • 1 cup elbow macaroni or spaghetti
  • 1 10-3/4 ounce can condensed tomato soup

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 11-ounce can condensed chili beef soup
  • 3 slices sharp process American cheese


  1. Cook macaroni or spaghetti according to package directions; drain thoroughly.
  2. Brown ground beef in skillet.
  3. Add the chili-beef soup, tomato soup, and cooked macaroni.
  4. Heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbly.
  5. Halve the cheese slices diagonally and overlap cheese triangles atop hot mixture.
  6. Cover for a few minutes to melt cheese slightly.
  7. Serve at once.
