Recipe: Arroz Con Camaron – Rice with Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 cups uncooked rice
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 pound cooked shrimp
- 1/4 teaspoon Spanish saffron
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Sauté garlic in oil until it reaches a golden color.
- Discard garlic.
- Sauté rice in oil until brown.
- Add onion, tomato sauce, shrimp, saffron, salt and pepper, and water, adjusting the amount of water to the amount required on the rice package.
- Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until all liquid has been absorbed.
- Yields 6 to 8 sewings of Arroz con Camaron.
